  1. I have been asked to prune a mountain mahogany that had been shaped into a ball. All the foliage is on the outer circumference and the ‘bush’ is beginning to look sparse on the lower part. How can I encourage it to be fuller. Can it be pruned at the beginning of July or will I have to wait till winter? I live in the Denver, CO area.
    Thank you for your help!
